Un bancale sul quale un commerciante abbandona la frutta che sa non venderà mai; una cassetta d’agrumi schiacciati che nessuno acquisterà; mele che rotolano sull’asfalto senza che qualcuno le

insegua. Eccole, le Grandi Offerte. Il sabato mattina. Non si paga il biglietto, all’ingresso. Si sta, e si rovista, fruga, cerca per quanto e dove si vuole. Il carovita, la quarta settimana del mese, il conto corrente in rosso anzi in viola, il governo che taglia, le istituzioni che non si curano dei poveracci, gli stipendi magri magrissimi, l’euro, i prezzi raddoppiati, la città che costa, insomma, è colpa di quelle cose lì. Una per una. Tutte e insieme. E non c’è vergogna, nella miseria Ombra di rossetto, capelli un po’ impastati, occhiali, un bel cappottino: signora, perché mai è qui? <<E per cos’altro? Son qui per mangiare».
